Welcome to episode 4! Well, April has flown past, in lockdown on both continents. This is the first episode where, instead of interviewing, we’re talking about something which affects pretty much all creatives. We have a whole stack of these waiting for you – the podcast pretty much grew out of having these kinds of conversations and then realising that other people might relate to the stuff we were doing, battling & dealing with.
What are we talking about?
And for the first one, we chose…. ROUTINE! It sounds bland and boring and like someone’s telling you what to do – but it turns out, structure can be really helpful, who knew?!
Freedom is definitely a common driver for self employment of any sort, and routine or being told what to do usually has fairly negative connotations. So it was a bit of a shock to both of us, with our very different backgrounds, to find that structure can be a good thing!
Between our stories and experience we hope you find some useful perspectives. You never know, you might even see a new way of looking at something you might have found yourself resisting…
Smashing the negatives and making the routine work for you – that’s what we’re all about this episode.
We’d love to hear your thoughts – come visit us on Facebook and Instagram, we’re @creativerebootco!

And we love Gemma Correll – this is the original permanently exhausted pigeon we talk about this episode, but Gemma’s entire account is joyful and her shop is a major threat to my bank account 😀
