Data we collect & use

We may use data anonymously to help us improve our offering – for example, bestselling downloads/templates, or most visited episodes.

If you are a customer:

We use Paypal as our payment processor, and you log into Paypal to make payment for goods from us.

We use this under the GDPR lawful basis of Contract, which means we will use your name and email address to send you your purchased downloads, and also if we need to contact you about your order (for example, to notify you of updates to the product after you have purchased, changes to the way you access your purchased product(s), or any other communication directly related to your order).

If you are subscribed to our email newsletter:

We use Mailerlite as our data processor for our email newsletter, and you can sign up to receive these emails (opt in) in various places throughout our website including at checkout . Once opted in, you’ll get emails about our podcast episode releases, and also about any products, updates and other news. We send these broadly monthly, but may be more often at times, for example around launches.

We only collect your email address in our sign up forms on the website or via Mailerlite’s landing pages for this purpose, and we use this data under the GDPR lawful basis of Consent, which means that by signing up to our newsletter, you are giving us permission to send you marketing emails. You may unsubscribe (opt-out) at any time – we include the unsubscribe link at the bottom of every email we send.

Emails

Emails you send us, and emails that Paypal sends us about your payments, are stored in our email folders, and used under the lawful basis “Legitimate Interests” – we are obliged to keep financial records in case of an audit, but no personal information is shared at any time.

Comments on our website

When visitors leave comments on the site we collect the data shown in the comments form, and also the visitor’s IP address and browser user agent string to help spam detection.

An anonymized string created from your email address (also called a hash) may be provided to the Gravatar service to see if you are using it. The Gravatar service privacy policy is available here: https://automattic.com/privacy/. After approval of your comment, your profile picture is visible to the public in the context of your comment.

Visitor comments may be checked through an automated spam detection service.
